Lockdown in Chapainawabganj extended till June 7

The local administration has extended the ongoing lockdown in Chapainawabganj for one more week till June 7 to current spread of Coronavirus.

Deputy Commissioner of the district Md Monjurul Hafiz announced this at a press conference at 12:30pm on Monday.

No one will be allowed to enter or leave the district during the lockdown.

All inter-district and long-distance buses as well as private vehicles would stay off the roads during the lockdown.

Grocery shops and those selling daily necessities will remain open every day while pharmacies, clinics and hospitals will be out of the purview of the lockdown.

A H M Abdur Rakib, Superintendent of Police, Civil Surgeon Dr Jahid Nazrul Chowdhury and Additional Deputy Commissioner Jakiul Islam were present among others at the press conference.
