Local administration in Rajshahi has imposed strict coronavirus restrictions from 7:00am on Thursday (June 03) as the district is witnessing a surge in the Covid-19 cases.
The restrictions will remain effective from tomorrow until further notice.
According to the restrictions, none will be allowed to leave their houses from 7:00 pm to 8:00 am without any emergency cases including requirements of medicines, treatment, burial.
All shopping malls and shops will remain closed, but wholesale and retail shops can operate their business online. In such cases, employees must follow the health guidelines and no consumers can’t go for onsite shopping.
Restaurants, hotels can sell food through online and dining at the restaurants won’t be allowed.
Local administration will ensure sale of daily essentials and vegetables at open places from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm every day.
Emergency services like agricultural essentials (seeds, pesticides, equipment sets), food transportation, relief distribution, health services, vaccination, utility service, operation of seaports, fire service, telephone and internet, private security services will remain out of the purview of restriction.
Maximum 20 worshipers will be allowed to offer prayers and participate in religious gatherings.
Mobile courts will be operated to ensure the use of masks and legal action will be taken against the rule violators if necessary.
