Keeping your Microsoft Teams calls private and secure can get a lot easier thanks to a new update to the works.
The video conferencing service is set to soon add a feature that allows organizers to lock Microsoft Teams calls at any time to prevent other people from joining.
The new feature should be protected as well as joining any Microsoft Teams call, as well as giving the platform the option of further enhanced privacy.
In Microsoft 365’s roadmap entry for the new feature, the update is titled “Microsoft Teams: Lock a Meeting from Additional Participants”, set a release date around 2021 – although it is still under development at the time of writing.
Microsoft noted that after the organizers locked their meeting, “anyone attempting to join a locked meeting from any device will be notified that the meeting is locked.”
