Apple’s AirTags have been removed from the shelves of Australia’s largest retailer, Officeworks. The new product was only available for purchase on April 30 and the exact reason for the removal is not certain at this time.

“The Apple AirTag range will be temporarily unavailable for purchase from Officework,” a spokesman for Officeworks said in a statement.

“The product will not be stockpiled by officers until further notice from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACC).

“Officials continue to work with Apple to address any security concerns,” the statement said.

Although Office Works has not yet released details about the removal of Apple AirTags, various unsupported theories are being published online.
