Two employees of ‘Asiatic 360 Degree’ have died of drinking excessive alcohol, while seven others have been undergoing treatment at hospitals.

The two employees died at Suhrawardy Hospital in the capital on Sunday morning. They were Shihab Zahir and Mir Kaiser.

Late Aly Zaker was the chairman of PR agency.

It is learnt that there was function of the PR agency at Sarah Resort in Gazipur on Friday night. The employees of the agency took excessive hard drinks at that night which left nine persons sick. Later, they got admitted to different hospitals in the capital.

Shihab Zahir was the first victim who died on Sunday morning. Then another employee named Mir Kaiser died.

It is also learnt that seven more employees of Asiatic Advertisement Ltd have been undergoing treatment at different hospitals now. They are not out of danger, it is also learnt.

The PR agency’s public relations officer Jahangir said he “heard about the death” of two employees of their agency, but don’t know where they died.

Asked how many of the employees were sick, he said he didn’t have detailed information about it.

DMP’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station’s officer-in-charge (OC) Jane Alam Munshi said, “I don’t know anything else regarding the matter. Many die at hospitals. However, I’m looking into the matter.”
