World sees a drop in coronavirus infections, deaths

Coronavirus infections and deaths have somewhat reduced worldwide. More than 9,000 more people have died and around four lakh people have been infected with the virus across the world in a day.

A total of 9,013 more people died from coronavirus infections worldwide in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of deaths in the virus to 37,36,081. On the other hand, the death toll in the virus was 10,237 in the previous day.

Besides, some 3,94,844 people tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) worldwide over the same period, raising the total number of infected cases to 17,37,15,562. But a day before, the number of daily coronavirus cases was 4,16,773.

Meanwhile, some 15,65,86,441 people made recoveries from the virus infections across the world so far.

International survey organisation Worldometer disclosed the information on Sunday (June 06) morning.

The first coronavirus outbreak occurred in Wuhan, China, in December of 2019. It started spreading in different countries of the world since then.
