Global coronavirus deaths cross 40 lakh

About 6,049 people have died from coronavirus (Covid-19) infections and about 3.36 lakh people have been infected with the virus in a day across the world.

About 6,049 people died from coronavirus infections worldwide in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of deaths in the virus to 40,00,520. On the other hand, the death toll in the virus was 6,007 in the previous day.

Besides, some 3,36,323 people tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) worldwide over the same period, raising the total number of infected cases to 18,49,23,557. But the number of daily coronavirus cases was 3,27,857 a day before.

Meanwhile, some 16,92,92,139 people made recoveries from the virus infections across the world so far.

International survey organisation Worldometer disclosed the information on Tuesday (July 06) morning.

The first coronavirus outbreak occurred in Wuhan, China, in December of 2019. It started spreading in different countries of the world since then.
