Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, “We have made arrangements for higher education for the army personnel. They don’t get any opportunity to receive higher education because of their joining in the army at a young age. That’s why, we have made arrangements for three-year training course and four-year honours course so that they can keep pace with the international arena.”
She made these statements while attending the closing ceremony of the President’s Parade-2020 and 79th BMA Long Course at Bhatiari in Chattogram on Thursday (December 24) morning.
The premier joined the ceremony through a video conference from her official residence Ganabhaban.
Sheikh Hasina said, “The army members are working with honesty in every field. This force has played an important role in the fight against coronavirus and worked to make people aware about the virus. To do so, many of them have been ill and many died.”
The army members have been continuing their relentless efforts to deal with any disaster in the country, she said, adding that they are also playing a vital role in the peacekeeping across the world.
