The ongoing lockdown restriction across the country is going to end on Sunday (June 6). But, the government has not taken any decision yet on the extension of lockdown.
Sources said that no documents have been sent to the office of the Prime Minister in this regard.
Concerned officials of the cabinet division said, details about the issue can be known on Sunday.
Sources also said, the government is mulling district-base lockdown, following the Covid-19 infection rate in last two weeks.
Already, a one-week-long lockdown has been imposed in some districts. It seems that lockdown would not be declared across the country. Considering the overall situation, the government may impose a district-base lockdown. However, everything is depending on the recommendation of the national committee and cabinet division.
Earlier, the government announced a week-long countrywide lockdown from April 5 to curb the new wave of Covid-19 infections. Later, the lockdown deadline was extended five times.Share this post:
