Xiaomi had teased that it would be unveiling something new and innovative that would be “mind blowing.” And it seems the company kept its word as it revealed its first Quad Curved Waterfall Display Concept Smartphone, which features a curved display on all four edges of the device.
Through its official Twitter handle, the Chinese technology giant shared an image poster revealing the concept device. Looking at this device, it can be noticed that the four ends of the device are curved around the sides of the device at an angle of 88 degrees.
Although curved edges are nothing new in the industry, the four edges have never been seen before. In other words, the company’s first quad curved waterfall display concept smartphone is truly a unique handset that emphasizes its “innovation” from the front of the sign, the device will seem to be covered by the display in most cases except the corners.
Furthermore, smartphone makers report that it has achieved a quad curve 8-degree surface through “countless advances in glass bending and laminating technology to expand to the infinity of countless successes.” Xiaomi added that the device has a port-free Unibd design and was built using a total of 46 different “groundbreaking” patents. Significantly, devices like the Mate 30 Pro had 88-degree curved edges before.
