In reply, Sri Lanka managed to score 224 runs losing all wickets in 48.1 overs, letting Bangladesh go 1-0 up in the series.
For Bangladesh, all-rounder Mehidy Hasan smashed 4 wickets for 30 runs with 2 maidens.
Pacer Mustafizur Rahman bagged 3 wickets for 34 runs while Mohammad Saifuddin got 2 wickets for 49 runs.
Earlier, Tamim Iqbal won the toss and decided to bat first but his opening partner Liton Das departed in the very second over when he edged the ball to the sleep fielder and departed without scoring.
Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah came to rescue Bangladesh after a slump in the middle and both got half-centuries to project the Tigers to a decent total.
Mushfiq hit 84 runs from 87 balls with 4 fours and a six. Mahmudullah scored 54 runs off 76 runs with 2 fours and a six.
All-rounder Shakib Al Hassan hit 15 runs from 34 balls with 2 fours.
Mohammad Mithun hit a golden duck while Afif Hossain (not out) scored 27 runs and Saifuddin hit 13 runs.Share this post:
