Police have recovered the abducted girl Puja Debnath, 3, from Sylhet within 24 hours of an abduction case filed with Netrokona Model Thana.

A woman was also arrested in this connection.

Puja Debnath is the daughter of Ripon Debnath from Nagra area of Netrokona district. The arrestee is Rina Aktar, 30, who used to work at the house of Puja.

Additional Superintendent of Police (SP) Fakhrujjaman Juel revealed the information at a press conference held at the Netrokona Model Thana around 8:00pm on Tuesday (April 6).

“Rina Aktar abducted Puja on Sunday (April 4) evening. An abduction case was filed with Netrokona Model Thana the following day,” the SP said.
