A huge number of people were seen at Daulatdia ferry terminal of Rajbari who were heading towards village home ahead of Eid.

Every ferry reached Daulatdia from Paturia side was packed with people on Wednesday (May 12) night. Vehicles were much less than people.

Madhabilota ferry was seen just transporting to goods-laden trucks which reached Daulatdia around 3:00 pm. However, passengers were at least 8,00 on the ferry. Another ferry ‘Bonolata’ reached Daulatdia with at least 1,000 passengers around 7:45 pm.

Meanwhile, people have been fallen in immense sufferings even after crossing the river by ferry as there is no long-haul transports. Passengers alleged that the vehicles plying from the ghat area are charging much fare.
