At least five people have sustained burn injuries in a fire broke out from a gas line of a washing factory in Narayanganj Bandar area.

The incident took place around 5.00am on Saturday.

The injured have been admitted to Sheikh Hasina Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit in the city.

They are Alam, Nazir, Helencha, Bashir and Mehadi.

Physician of Sheikh Hasina Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit Partha Shankar Pal confirmed the news.

A rescue worker named Helal said the factor was closed due to Eid. Some workers were sleeping there. The gas pipe line of the factory caught fire in the early hours, leaving five burn injuries.
