The detection rate of coronavirus in Satkhira is increasing at an alarming rate.

A total of 37 people tested positive for coronavirus after carrying out sample tests of 90 people in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of infected cases in the district to 1,584.

According to the latest report, the rate of coronavirus infections stood at 41.11 percent.

Satkhira district Civil Surgeon Dr Hussain Shafayat confirmed the matter on Monday (May 31).

According to a source at Satkhira district health division, a total of 46 people have died of coronavirus infections and at least 209 more people died of coronavirus-like symptoms in the district.
