A record ten people died of coronavirus (Covid-19) infections in Chattogram Metropolitan city and different upazilas of Chattogram district in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of deaths in the port city to 701.

Besides, some 1,364 people were tested for coronavirus in the last 24 hours out of them 399 people tested positive for the virus.

Confirming the information on Tuesday midnight, Chattogram Civil Surgeon Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi said, “This is the second highest Covid-19 death record since the coronavirus was first detected in Chattogram.”

Earlier on April 24, a total of 11 people died of coronavirus in the port city.
