A huge crowd was seen at Karamza cattle market in Sathia upazila of Pabna on Tuesday (July 6).
Although various steps have been taken by the Hat Committee to maintain health guidelines during the coronavirus pandemic, it has not been seen to be very useful. As a result, the coronavirus infection poses a serious risk there.
Though a lot of cattle was brought in the market, hat committee members said that only a quarter of the cattle was imported to the market than that of usual time. Due to the strict restrictions of vehicles, the number of cattle to the market from far away has decreased.
When asked, Sathia UNO SM Jamal Ahmed said, “According to the current restrictions, there is a ban on setting up temporary hats, but it does not apply to regular hats. The Karamza Hat Committee has been instructed to run the hat in compliance with the hygiene rules.”
