Workers of a garment factory have blocked Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Kanchpur in Narayanganj’s Sonargaon upazila, demanding arrears of two months and protesting layoffs of workers.

RMG workers of Sinha Group started demonstrations after taking to the streets around 10:00am today. Later, the demonstrating workers blocked Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Kanchpur.

Shakhawat Hossain, Superintendent of Narayanganj Industrial Police, confirmed the news.
