Khulna division reported 40 more coronavirus (Covid-19) deaths in the last 24 hours.

The deaths were reported between 8:00am on Friday (July 16) and 8:00am on Saturday (July 17).

Some 539 new Covid-19 cases have been detected in the division over the same period.

Khulna Health Department (Disease Control) Assistant Director Dr Ferdousi Akhter confirmed this information.

According to the office of divisional director of health, ten people died of coronavirus infections in Khulna district, ten in Jashore, eight in Kushtia, five in Chuadanga, three each in Jhenaidah and Meherpur and one in Magura.
