17 more people have died from coronavirus (Covid-19) infections and coronavirus-like symptoms while undergoing treatment at the corona unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).

Confirming the matter this morning, RMCH Director Brig Gen Shamim Yazdani said the deaths were reported in the last 24 hours starting from 8:00am on Sunday (July 25) to 8:00am today, Monday (July 26).

Of the 17 deaths, eight people died of Covid-19 infections and the rest nine died of symptoms similar to that of coronavirus.

Of the dead, twelve were in Rajshahi district, two in Natore, and one each Chapainawabganj, Naogaon and Kushtia, he added.

With them, the number of Covid-19 deaths in the hospital rose to 443 in 26 days of this month.

A total of 354 people died at the corona unit of the hospital in the month of June.
