Bangladesh logged 261 deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, climbing the national toll to 22,411 across the country so far.

Besides, 8,136 new cases were reported during the same period. With this, the total number of infections stood at 13,43,396 in the country.

A press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed the development on Saturday (August 7).

Alongside, as many as 16,383 Covid-19 patients made recoveries in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recoveries to 11, 88,820 the release said.
