A court in Cox’s bazar on Monday dropped the name of Sifat from the charge sheet of a case filed over the murder of Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan.

Judge Tamanna Farah of Senior Judicial Magistrate Court-4 in Cox’s Bazar passed the order around 11:00am.

Accepting the charge sheet in the case, the court also issued an arrest warrant to detain fugitive Sagor.

Earlier on December 13, RAB senior assistant police super Mohammad Khayrul Islam submitted charge sheet before the same court.

On July 31, retired Army major Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan was killed in police firing in Cox’s Bazar Marine Drive.
