A five-day long honey, handicrafts, small and cottage industries fair will kick off in the city from tomorrow
On the occasion of ‘Mujib Year’, Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) will organise the fair at its premises following the health guidelines.
Due to the coronavirus outbreak, all fairs were closed for about 7-8 months and the small and cottage industrialists have been severely affected for this, said a press release.
The fair will continue till January 7.
A total of 61 honey, small and cottage industry entrepreneurs will participate in the fair. Besides, people who received training from the BSCIC will get the chance to showcase their products at the fair.
BSIC Chairman Md. Mushtaq Hasan urged the entrepreneurs, buyers and sellers of honey, small and cottage industries to follow the health guidelines properly.
He said, entrepreneurs in honey, small, cottage and medium industries have suffered the most due to coronavirus pandemic.
The fair has been organized by BSCIC at the request of the entrepreneurs considering the loss of them.
The fair will remain open to all from 10:00am to 5:00pm every day.
