Some 7,10,122 people tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) worldwide in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of infected cases to 16,03,22,806.

Besides, a total of 13,444 more people died from coronavirus infections worldwide over the same period, raising the total number of deaths in the virus to 33,31,127.

International survey organisation Worldometer disclosed the information on Wednesday (May 12) morning.

The first coronavirus outbreak occurred in Wuhan, China, in December of 2019. It started spreading in different countries of the world since then.
