8,000 more die from coronavirus worldwide

About 8,000 people have died from coronavirus (Covid-19) infections and 5.22 lakh people have tested positive for the virus in a day across the world.

As many as 7,955 people died from coronavirus infections worldwide in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of deaths in the virus to 43,16,026. On the other hand, the death toll in the virus was 8,279 in the previous day.

Besides, some 5,22,382 people tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) worldwide over the same period, raising the total number of infected cases to 20,41,32,754. But the number of daily coronavirus cases was 5,68,189 a day before.

Meanwhile, some 18,33,19,193 people have made recoveries from the virus infections across the world so far.

International survey organisation Worldometer disclosed the information on Tuesday (August 10) morning.

The first coronavirus outbreak occurred in Wuhan, China, in December of 2019. It started spreading in different countries of the world since then.
