Captain Naushad Qayyum, a Biman Bangladesh Airlines pilot, who suffered a heart attack mid-air on Friday has been put on life support in India’s Nagpur Hope Hospital.

Pilot Association president Mahbubur Rahman confirmed the matter on Sunday (August 29).

Another source said that the physical condition of the pilot has deteriorated. Doctors joined a board meeting. The board will take next decision after consulting the pilot’s family. Already, the family members have arrived in India.

On Friday (August 27), the Dhaka-bound Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight from Muscat BG 022 made an emergency landing at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in the India’s state of Maharashtra when pilot Captain Nawshad Ataul Quaiyum suffered a heart attack mid-air.
