Creating websites and upgrading their security is going to be a lot easier in WordPress with the release of the latest version of the world’s most popular CMS.

WordPress 7.7 “Esperanza” is the first WordPress release this year and is named in honor of the modern music enthusiast Esperanza Spalding.

In addition to editor improvements, one of the biggest features of this release is that it can convert WordPress sites from HTTP to HTTPS with just one click. After this conversion has started, WordPress will automatically update the database URL in the new protocol.

Both HTTP and HTTPS allow a web browser to send a request to a web hosting server and receive a response, but HTTPS uses TLS / SSL encryption to secure requests and responses when HTTP transmits this information in a straightforward manner.
