Microsoft receives boiling fluids in data centers

Two big announcements of computer server cooling have been seen as Microsoft examines liquid boil alternatives and Wiwynn is investing in double cooling development for data centers.

Contact between Microsoft employees revealed that the company was testing a steel holding tank with a computer server and a liquid boil for cooling. The liquid used is not water and does not damage electronic equipment.

It can also boil at a much lower temperature than water and the boiling effect helps to increase the heat from the computer processor. As the steam rises inside the tanks it comes in contact with a cooling condenser which causes the steam to become liquid and rain down on the servers. This creates a unique closed loop system for cooling servers.
