Bangladesh Bank extended the withdrawal limit from ATM booths to Tk1 lakh during the weeklong strict lockdown period, which begins from Thursday (July 1).

Payment System Department (PSD) of Bangladesh Bank issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday (June 30).

The notification said that all ATMS and mobile financial services (MFS) will remain operational during the strict lockdown to provide cash as per the demand of the general public.

According to the demand of customers, cash and e-money supply should be ensured in bank’s cash counters, ATM booths, agent points of agent banking and agent points of mobile financial services (MFS), the notification reads.
