Bangladesh Bank (BB) has asked all scheduled banks to submit the information of VAT statement deducted from non-resident service providers, including Facebook, Google and
Amazon.

The central bank has instructed the scheduled banks to send the statement of the VAT deducted by the banks from the non-resident institutions to members (VAT policy) of the National Board of Revenue
(NBR) within the seven days of the next month, as per a BB circular issued today.

BB gave the instruction as per a decision of the meeting at NBR on June 24, 2021.
