A delegation of International Monetary Fund (IMF) is set to visit Dhaka on Otober 26 for talks over a $4.5 billion loan programme.
A press release issued by IMF in Washington, DC revealed the matter on Friday (October 21).
The delegation will be led by IMF Mission Chief to Bangladesh Rahul Anand. The two-week visit will end on November 09.
According to the press release, “The objective is to make progress towards a staff-level agreement” on funding in the coming months, including a long-term credit line specifically aimed at helping build resilience against climate risks in countries highly vulnerable to climate change.”
