Director General (DG) of the Directorate of Environment (DoE) AKM Rafique Ahmed, died after being infected with coronavirus or Covid-19 (Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un).

He breathed his last around 4:15am on Saturday (April 10) while undergoing treatment at Central Police Hospital in Dhaka.

Rafique Ahmed had been receiving treatment at the hospital since March 23. He was put on life support on Friday as his physical condition deteriorated.
