China is providing five lakh doses of its Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine to Bangladesh as a gift. The vaccines will arrive in Dhaka today (Wednesday).

The vaccines will arrive at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Wednesday (May 12).

The Chinese Embassy in Dhaka confirmed the message on its official facebook.

Meanwhile, foreign ministry sources said the vaccines would be handed over to the Bangladesh government on Wednesday noon. On this occasion, a handing over ceremony has been organized at the state guest house Padma at 11:15 am on Wednesday. Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen will be present on the occasion.
