Former Joint Secretary of Hefajat-e-Islam Mamunul Huq has been sent to jail after 18-day remand in six separate cases filed with Siddirganj and Sonargaon police stations on charge of sabotage and rape.

A court of Narayanganj senior judicial magistrate gave an order to send him to Kashimpur Jail after hearing on Saturday morning.

Police Inspector of Narayanganj court Asaduzzaman confirmed this information to journalists.

Mamunul Huq was produced before the court after 18 days remand.
