Infection of coronavirus is increasing day by day. The number of deaths is also rising up gradually. That’s why, the government has issued lockdown in seven districts of the country from 6:00 am from Tuesday (June 22) until 11:59 pm on June 30.
Public transports will remain suspended in the districts during the lockdown. However, freight trucks and ambulances will run.
Cabinet Division Secretary Khandoker Anwarul Islam made the disclosure on Monday (June 21) afternoon.
He said, “Lockdown will be effective in Manikganj, Munshiganj, Narayanganj, Gazipur, Rajbari, Madaripur and Gopalganj from June 22 (Tuesday) until June 30.”
In reply to a query, he said, “All will remain closed in the districts during the lockdown. Even, people will not be allowed to move during the lockdown. Only freight trucks and ambulances will be allowed.”
“During the lockdown in the seven districts, law and order situation and emergency services such as transports engaged in carrying agricultural products, food grains and foods, relief distribution, health services, providing coronavirus vaccine, supplying power, water, gas and fuel, fire service, port activities, telephone and internet, mass media, private security system, postal service and officers and employees of the sectors will remain out of the preview of the restrictions,” he added.
