Policemen are on hardline from Thursday morning to implement all restrictions in Gazipur district to contain the spread of coronavirus.

Police checkposts have been set up at 12 points in Gazipur. No vehicles, except those carrying goods and ambulances, are allowed on the streets.

As a result, common people, especially employees of various factories, are facing untold sufferings.

During visit, it was seen that police checkposts have been set up at different important places including Dhaka-Mymensingh highway, Dhaka-Tangail highway and Kashimpur area.

The government has imposed an all-out lockdown in seven districts including Gazipur to contain the spread of coronavirus.
