A terrible explosion on Sunday (June 27) occurred in a building at Mogbazar in the capital, leaving seven people killed and dozens injured. The number of casualties may increase further.
Fire Service Raman Station officer Faisalur Rahman confirmed the death toll. The reasons behind the explosion could not be known immediately.
Sazzadur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (Ramna Zone),also confirmed the information.
According to correspondent (DMCH), Of the injured, 37 were admitted to Burn Unit of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) and 10 to Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute.
Mahfuz, duty officer of Fire Service Headquarters, told that the explosion occurred in a three-storey building adjacent to Arong at Mogbazar.
