A Chattogram court has asked the State to take all properties of sacked Teknaf OC Pradeep Kumar Das, key accused in the murder case of retired army major Sinha Md Rashed Khan, and his wife Chumki under custody.

The court of Chittagong Metropolitan Senior Special Sessions Judge Sheikh Ashfaqur Rahman passed the order on Tuesday (June 29).

Earlier, Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed a petition in this regard over amassing illegal wealth of former OC Pradeep.

Riaz Uddin, assistant director of ACC (Chattogram), confirmed the matter.

He said that he as an investigation officer (IO) of the case filed a petition to take all properties of former OC Pradeep and his wife Chumki under the custody of the State. Hearing over the petition, the court ordered in favour.

After a long investigation, ACC filed a case against former OC Pradeep and his wife Chumki for illegally amassing wealth of 3 core 95 lakh 5 thousand 635 taka.
