The government has imposed an embargo on domestic flights during the seven-day nationwide lockdown starting from July 1 to prevent the coronavirus infection.
However, Biman Bangladesh Airlines will operate a few domestic flights to transport the international transit passengers only.
Tahera Khandaker, deputy general manager (public relations) of Biman, confirmed this on Wednesday (June 30).
She said, “A few numbers of flights will be operated from Dhaka to Chattogram, Sylhet and Cox’s Bazar to transport international transit passengers only. The flights will carry Biman ticket holder international passengers only.”
