12.5 lakh doses of Moderna vaccine have arrived in the country from the United States of America.

The first consignment reached Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 11.22pm on Friday.

Public Relations Officer of Health Ministry Maidul Islam Prodhan confirmed the news.

Health Minister Zahid Maleq received the vaccine.

Foreign Minister Dr A K Abdul Momen and US ambassador were also present.

Another 13 lakh doses of Moderna vaccine will arrive on Saturday morning.
