The Bangladesh Railway will run special cattle trains for carrying sacrificial animals for three days before Eid-ul-Azha.
Dhaka Divisional Commercial Manager of Bangladesh Railway Shawkat Jamil Mohasi confirmed the news.
Bangladesh Railway will operate the trains on July 17, 18 and 19. But, their numbers will vary every day, depending on the demand of the traders, he said.
Initially the trains will run from Dewanganj of Jamalpur to Kamalapur railway station in Dhaka.
Bangladesh Railway has also taken necessary arrangements to transport animals from Khulna and Chapainawabganj.
The ministry has taken the decision amid a worsening Covid-19 situation in the country.
