Foreign Affairs Minister Dr A K Abdul Momen said that 25 lakh doses of Oxford- AstraZeneca vaccine may come to the country under Covax. The government is trying its best to bring the vaccine.

The Minister told this to the reporters at his own residence on Wednesday (July 7).

He said, “25 shots of vaccines could come from Japan under Covax initiative. We are looking forward to getting the vaccine. The government is working to ensure that all people in the country would be vaccinated.”

A K Momen said, “Every month, 50 lakh of 1.5 crore doses of Sinopharm vaccine purchased from China will come to the country. 10 lakh doses of AstraZeneca vaccine will also arrive from the European Union later this month.”
