Bangladesh Railway will operate a special cattle train service on Dhaka- Chapainawabganj route to carry sacrificial animals for the upcoming holy Eid-ul-Azha.
As part of the service, trains will run from July 17 to July 19. A cow will be brought to Dhaka by train for only Tk 592.
Chapainawabganj Railway Station Master Obaidullah confirmed the news to risingbd on Saturday.
Railway Ministry sent a letter to Chapainawabganj Railway Station on Friday to take a preparation in this regard, he said.
Interested traders are requested to contact the railway stations.
Earlier, Bangladesh Railway transported mangoes.
