Bangladesh reported 226 deaths from coronavirus (Covid-19) in the last 24 hours, climbing the national toll to 17,278 across the country so far.

Besides, 12,236 new cases were reported during the same period. With this, the total number of infections stood at 10,71,774 in the country.

A press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed the development on Thursday (July 15).

Alongside, as many as 8,395 Covid-19 patients made recoveries in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recoveries to 9,05,807, the release said.
