At least 40 shops were gutted in a fire that broke out at Tahabazar Chapainawabganj district town on Thursday (July 22).

The fire originated around 4:00pm. On information, two fire units from Sadar fire service rushed to spot. Later, four more fire units joined the rescue team from Shibganj, Nachole, Gomastapur and Godagari.

However, the reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.

Police Super AHM Abdur Rakib visited the spot.
