River erosion in Kalihati upazila of Tangail has rendered 92 families homeless in just 18 hours. After losing everything in the erosion of the river Jamuna at Bhairabbari village in Durgapur union of the upazila, the people of these families are now passing tough time.

Hundreds of people have taken shelter elsewhere due to river erosion. In addition, government primary schools, mosques and hundreds of homes are under threat.

Durgapur union parishad chairman SM Anwar Hossain confirmed the information on Sunday (July 25) morning.
