A total of 17 people have died from coronavirus and coronavirus-like symptoms at the Covid-19 unit of Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital (MMCH) in the last 24 hours.

The deaths were reported in the last 24 hours starting from 8:00am on Saturday (July 24) to 8:00am today, Sunday (July 25).

Dr Mohiuddin Khan Moon, focal person of the Covid unit, confirmed the news.

Besides, some 184 people have tested positive for the Covid-19 over the same period.

Among the deaths, ten died of coronavirus infections while the rest seven died of coronavirus-like symptoms.
