Khulna division reported 39 more coronavirus (Covid-19) deaths in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of deaths in the division to 2,629.

The deaths were reported between 8:00am on Friday (August 06) and 8:00am on Saturday (August 07).

Besides, some 428 new Covid-19 cases were detected in the division over the same period, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 98,882.

Meanwhile, a total of 77,327 people have made recoveries from the virus so far.

Dr Jashim Uddin Howlader, divisional director of Health, confirmed this information.

According to the office of divisional director of health, a maximum 10 people died of coronavirus infections in Kushtia district, 10 in Jashore, nine in Khulna, four in Meherpur, one in Jhenaidah, one in Magura, one in Narail and three in Chuadanga.
