A total of 15 people have died from coronavirus and coronavirus-like symptoms at the Covid-19 unit of Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital (MMCH) in the past 24 hours.

The deaths were reported in the last 24 hours starting from 8:00am on Monday (August 09) to 8:00am today, Tuesday (August 10).

Dr Mohiuddin Khan Moon, focal person of the Covid unit, confirmed the news.

Besides, some 188 people tested positive for the virus over the same period, he said.

Among the deaths, eight people died of coronavirus infections while the remaining seven died of coronavirus-like symptoms, he added.
