A female police inspector has submitted an appeal to file a rape case against Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) Superintendent of Police Moktar Hossain.
The case was filed with the court of Dhaka Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-7 Judge Begum Mosammat Kamrunnahar.
The court will pass its order after checking documents in the case, said lawyer Salah Uddin Khan.
According to the victim’s case statement, the police superintendent has been raping the victim by making false promises of marriage since December 2019.
The accused Moktar Hossain joined the United Nations peacekeeping mission in Sudan as Contingent Commander of Bangladesh Police. Later, the plaintiff also joined the peacekeeping mission in Sudan.
The case has been delayed due to the closure of the court following Coronavirus pandemic, the victim said.
